Survey Says: MCO Program Is Improving
Employers and injured workers are more satisfied than ever with the performance of Ohio’s Health Partnership Program, which created the managed care program for workers’ compensation.
In overall satisfaction, employers and injured workers gave scores of 82.6 percent and 78.8 percent respectively - numbers that illustrate continued improvement.
BWC said two questions in particular highlight the progress. On a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being a perfect score), injured workers gave a score of 4.02 when rating the services they receive, such as medical treatments, medication, and quick responses to requests and questions. When asked to rate the overall service they receive from their managed care organization, Ohio employers gave a rating of 4.25.
The results were based on a survey of 11,500 injured workers who have used the system and more than 5,100 Ohio employers.
