Worker Headaches Cost Companies Billions
Migraine headaches cost American businesses between $5.6 billion and $17.2 billion in lost
work productivity annually, according to a national survey by the National Headache
Foundation.
Forty-one percent of workers surveyed cited workplace stress as their most common headache
trigger. Eight percent reported lost productivity as a result of a migraine, and 61 percent said
their headaches become so severe that they take time off of work as a result.
