Our People
At University Hospitals CompCare, our people's commitment and approach to customer service set us apart from all other workers' compensation managed care organizations in Ohio.
University Hospitals CompCare's staff is organized into teams, in which a
particular customer service representative, nurse case manager
and provider relations staff member are assigned to work
with specific employers. Every time a customer calls University Hospitals CompCare
at 1-800-818-7273, he or she can expect to talk to a staff member who
knows that industry, company and situation.
Each team member has specific areas of expertise and responsibility:
- Customer service representatives are the main point of contact and
are responsible for filing first reports of injury with the state.
Service really is their middle name. Read more about our
customer service.
- Case managers, who are registered nurses and certified case managers,
take the lead
on the medical management process, and return-to-work and transitional
duty programs. Read more about our
case management.
- Provider relations representatives work closely with doctors, hospitals and other
medical providers to facilitate the billing and payment process.

Our team approach reduces employers' administrative burden and facilitates safe and timely treatment, rehabilitation and return-to-work for injured workers.
