University Hospitals CompCare Touts Ohio's Managed Care Program in Magazine Article

Clairmonte Cappelle, vice president of University Hospitals CompCare, is quoted in the June 2000 issue of Risk & Insurance magazine touting a managed care approach to workers' compensation.

"The key to the success [in Ohio's Health Partnership Program] is getting injured workers to the appropriate providers, who understand occupational injuries and the state's return-to-work philosophy," Cappelle says.

The article, "Partnership, Cost and Care," labels Ohio's program "particularly successful," and points out that many other states are just beginning to apply managed care concepts to workers' compensation, or not doing anything at all and still struggling with rising costs and concerns about quality of care.
