New Management Information System Enhances Accuracy and Efficiency
University Hospitals CompCare (UCC) has implemented a powerful software package,
MCO Solutions, designed to enhance the accuracy of transactions and expedite
the case management, return to work, and medical bill payment processes with
the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation (BWC).
Developed by Marxware Computing Services, Inc. in Brooklyn Heights, MCO
Solutions allows UCC staff to accurately submit First Report of Injury (FROI)
information as well as medical bills with the use of integrated technical and
clinical editing rules. A key component of the medical bill process is the
ability to auto-adjudicate bills by batch, thereby decreasing bill rejection
rate as well as increasing bill payment accuracy and turnaround time. MCO
Solutions also integrates the authorization process with the bill payment
process to ensure only authorized procedures are paid. Moreover, all case
management and billing information are available to employers on UCC's web
site via a secure Internet connection. Establish your own account from the
Employer Portal of the University
CompCare web site and click on the “Data Link” icon on the left side.
"Ultimately, the most important benefit from a more accurate, efficient
and expeditious case management and claims processing system is enhanced
service for the employers and injured workers we serve," says Clairmonte
Cappelle, vice president of University Hospitals CompCare.
